Pontassieve is a commune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Florence in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 14 kilometers (9 mi) east of Florence, nearby Fiesole, at the confluence of the Arno and Sieve rivers. “Pontassieve” means "bridge on the Sieve River" and its most noted landmark is the stone arched bridge that connects the two banks of the river together.
